Vietnam Veterans Commemoration

U.S. Representative Sean Casten would like to honor Vietnam War Era veterans for their service at his upcoming Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony. The event will take place Sunday, March 29th from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Lake Barrington Shores Lodge, 64 Old Barn Road, Lake Barrington IL 60010.  Please use the Route 59 Main Gate entrance.

The Vietnam War 50th Commemoration was established by the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act. It recognizes veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location of service.

The event will recognize the service of each veteran with the presentation of a certificate and the official Vietnam War 50th Commemoration pin. The commemoration items may be presented to veterans posthumously if the family completes an application on their loved one’s behalf. It is a privilege to publicly recognize the service and sacrifice of the Vietnam veterans in our community.

If you are a Vietnam era veteran or a family member of a Vietnam era veteran,  you are invited to RSVP by completing the application below.
