Casten Statement on Mueller Report
Downers Grove, IL – U.S. Representative Sean Casten (IL-06) released the following statement after a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russia's interference in the 2016 election was made public.
Casten said, "It seems to be a hallmark of the Trump Administration to try to sell the American people an illusion. They do not want us to believe what we can see and hear for ourselves. Contrary to the Attorney General's representation, Special Counsel Mueller's report reveals deeply disturbing information about contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians as well as about the President's alarming and persistent efforts to evade, block, and terminate the investigation. The American people deserve the whole truth and the White House can be assured that this report will not be brushed aside by its political sleight of hand."
