Rep. Casten Statement on the 20th Anniversary of September 11th
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06) released the following statement on the 20th anniversary of September 11th.
"On the 20th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks, we pause to reflect on the nearly 3,000 Americans who lost their lives on that tragic day. Together, we mourn their loss and honor their memories.
"Looking back on that terrible morning, we must remember the extraordinary selflessness and heroism of the first responders who ran, without hesitation, into danger to save countless lives. Congress has a continuing responsibility to ensure first-responders who face long-term health effects from that day have the support they need."
