Reps. Casten, Bush, Crow, Chu to Host Press Conference Calling on Senate to End the Filibuster to Protect Abortion Rights
WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, May 10 at 5:45 pm ET, Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06), Congresswoman Cori Bush (MO-01), Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27), and Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), will host a press conference calling on the Senate to abolish the filibuster to protect abortion rights following the disastrous draft decision out of the Supreme Court by passing the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA).
The Senate is set to vote on Wednesday on the WHPA, legislation introduced by Congresswoman Judy Chu and passed by the House, which would statutorily enshrine Roe v. Wade into law.
