Casten Holds Third Telephone Town Hall with Infectious Disease Epidemiologists ?
Downers Grove, IL – Last night, U.S. Representative Sean Casten (IL-06) held a telephone town hall with two leading infectious disease epidemiology experts, Dr. Emily Landon and Dr. Robert Murphy, to learn more about COVID-19, including transmission, prevention, mitigation, testing, contract tracing, quarantine measures, and potential treatments.
During the telephone town hall, Casten delivered an update on The Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, which the House passed yesterday. Following an update from all guests, Casten and the expert panelists took constituent questions regarding the pandemic. Questions focused on expanding access to COVID-19 testing, symptoms and prevention, and the latest coronavirus funding package. Over 6,000 constituents in the 6th District joined the conversation.
Below is a copy of the audio file of the telephone town hall, as well as a list of experts. Casten will continue to hold telephone town halls and virtual events to provide updates and hear concerns throughout this unprecedented health emergency.
